Out just in time for holiday shopping is this new Sarah Scribbles collection。 If you know someone who loves cats and has a unique sense of humor, this could make the perfect gift (even for you!)。Oddball seems like the right title for this book。 The humor is unique and reflects what it feels like to not always belong or be comfortable in one’s skin。 The comics center on someone who is an introvert and show how hard this can be in an extroverted world。Fans of this cartoonist, along with some other Out just in time for holiday shopping is this new Sarah Scribbles collection。 If you know someone who loves cats and has a unique sense of humor, this could make the perfect gift (even for you!)。Oddball seems like the right title for this book。 The humor is unique and reflects what it feels like to not always belong or be comfortable in one’s skin。 The comics center on someone who is an introvert and show how hard this can be in an extroverted world。Fans of this cartoonist, along with some others, will surely welcome this collection。Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

Sarah Andersen's comics are a perfect snapshot of what it means to be a millennial adult in the world today。 They're also hilarious - seriously, reading these I had tears streaming down my face。 From the internet, to cats, to anxiety and depression and self-care, no topic is off limits。 If you've been to the internet, you've definitely seen Sarah Andersen's iconic Sarah's Scribbles comics, and while some in Oddball might be familiar, there are plenty of new (and seriously funny) comics to see in Sarah Andersen's comics are a perfect snapshot of what it means to be a millennial adult in the world today。 They're also hilarious - seriously, reading these I had tears streaming down my face。 From the internet, to cats, to anxiety and depression and self-care, no topic is off limits。 If you've been to the internet, you've definitely seen Sarah Andersen's iconic Sarah's Scribbles comics, and while some in Oddball might be familiar, there are plenty of new (and seriously funny) comics to see in this collection。 Keep up the good work, Ms。 Andersen! I was very much looking forward to reading this fourth book in the Sarah's Scribbles series。 And it did not disappoint! While I didn't connect with every vignette, I did find this book entertaining and a little cathartic。 What I did connect with proved that I am not the only introvert to have these experiences, haha。 There was just the right amount of wit, humour, and oddball happenings to keep me hooked! Oddball just made me enjoy reading with it's cute artwork and story。 It's also so relatable and it made me laughed-out-loud that I had to let others see what I'm reading from the pages。Special thanks to NetGalley, Sarah Andersen and Andrews McMeel Publishing for an e-ARC。 Oddball just made me enjoy reading with it's cute artwork and story。 It's also so relatable and it made me laughed-out-loud that I had to let others see what I'm reading from the pages。Special thanks to NetGalley, Sarah Andersen and Andrews McMeel Publishing for an e-ARC。 。。。more

Another collection full of funny, relatable comics。 I really enjoy Sarah Anderson’s work and this one was no different。 I was really excited to see this was coming out。 This one felt more like her first, which I enjoyed the most, but it is mostly still her usual charm and comedy。 As always, I recommend anything Sarah draws!

Relatable and laugh-out-loud funny!

Oddball is the fourth comic book of Sarah Andersen’s that I’ve read, so it probably doesn’t come as a surprise to hear I enjoy her work。 🤣 Oddball feels like the natural evolution of things: a series of comics that are as charming and relatable as her previous work, but that embrace her weirdness more openly and confidently than before。 Andersen’s art reminds us that it’s okay to be who you are - even if that person is an oddball。

I've seen Sarah Andersen's comics online before but never knew they were published as books! They're hilarious and totally relatable。 I only wish the book were longer! I enjoyed every single comic but the cat ones are my favorites。 I like the fandom and introvert ones a lot too。 I've seen Sarah Andersen's comics online before but never knew they were published as books! The topics in Oddball include social awkwardness, anxiety, the pandemic, pets, reading, being introverted, and more。 Reading it reminds me so much of my younger self, when I easily get embarrassed to go out there, was unassertive, just wanting to be alone and read, and tends to overthink things。 I’d like to think that I’ve already overcome some of those characteristics— at least to a degree。This collection of scribbles is a laugh-out-loud read with scenario after scenario that would make you th The topics in Oddball include social awkwardness, anxiety, the pandemic, pets, reading, being introverted, and more。 Reading it reminds me so much of my younger self, when I easily get embarrassed to go out there, was unassertive, just wanting to be alone and read, and tends to overthink things。 I’d like to think that I’ve already overcome some of those characteristics— at least to a degree。This collection of scribbles is a laugh-out-loud read with scenario after scenario that would make you think that maybe, you’re taking your life too seriously。 It would make you think of the things you’re not aware of doing, and perhaps that includes your pets, who are probably out for blood every time you forget their mealtime。 Lol。 Speaking of pets— there’s a ton of cat jokes here that are silly and just adorable! If you’re a cat person, in particular, you’d get a kick out of the charming cat jokes here。Although I’ve seen half of what I’ve read here in memes online, I still find them funny because of the author’s way of writing, as it is very engaging and relatable。 If you’re looking for some light reading that would make you laugh-out-loud, and get you out of your funk, then this could be the perfect read for you。Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA copy of this book was provided by the publisher, Andrews McMeel Publishing, via Netgalley for an impartial and honest review 。。。more

I received an ARC of this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review。 Sarah Andersen has done it again! The comics are so heartwarming and the ones regarding the time during the pandemic are relatable and funny。 One day maybe we will be handing these to our children when they ask "What was the pandemic like?" rather than reliving the entire thing。 It will be good to show them we laughed through our tears。 Just kidding (kind of)。 As always, will be recommending this one to everyone。 I received an ARC of this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review。 Sarah Andersen has done it again! I read this from NetGalley。I am glad this book is in READ NOW tab。 Thanks to the publisher。 Sarah's Scribbles is always amusing。 I have the previous books。 All of them。 Although I do not get some panels but I love reading this one as well。 I can relate to most of the pages especially when she took her cat as the main role。 Now I know why witches always have black cats。 I saw Khaby Lame! She does not draw him, but her hand gesture showed his shadow。 XDI also like Medusa's panels。 It is adorable。 I read this from NetGalley。I am glad this book is in READ NOW tab。 Thanks to the publisher。 Sarah's Scribbles is always amusing。 I have the previous books。 All of them。 Although I do not get some panels but I love reading this one as well。 I can relate to most of the pages especially when she took her cat as the main role。 Now I know why witches always have black cats。 I saw Khaby Lame!
